The first year of The New Horizon capital stewardship campaign has passed quickly. It seems only yesterday we were planning our launch banquet and now we are planning the 1st Anniversary Celebration. God has blessed us greatly and we have much to celebrate on November 8 beginning at 5:30 PM, so reserve the date on your family calendar.
Joe Hilty, The New Horizon Follow-up Chairperson, is planning the celebration. If Joe asks for your assistance, just say “yes.” The menu is carry in soup and dessert, bring enough for your family to share. Joe has made arrangements for a really cool toping to go along with your favorite dessert. It will be a great evening.
Your sacrificial giving through the year has positioned us for a strong start on the new building. The building plans are nearing completion. Once the plans are complete and certified by the architect the project will be let out for bid. When the bid process is complete and we know how much the project will cost the Building Committee will make their recommendation. The church will vote on the committee’s recommendation. With a favorable vote we will have a ground breaking ceremony and the contractors will go to work. It is anticipated that the construction phase will take about 12 months. Each task completed is a step in faith toward The New Horizon.
I am really glad God is letting me be pastor during this exciting phase in the history of “His Great Church” in Clinton—that would be you.
