Purpose or Mission Statement
First Baptist Church Clinton, Missouri exists to fulfill the Great Commission by loving people into a growing relationship with Jesus.

Vision Statement
Our vision is to bring glory to God by carrying out his command to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). Specifically, we believe God has called us to focus on reaching people in Clinton, Missouri and the surrounding areas who do not regularly attend any church.

In order to accomplish this our Church will attract pre-Christians and love them into a growing relationship with Jesus in a spiritual environment where they can become completely committed Christians. Because God is seeking worshippers, we will seek to attract people through creative inspiring worship. Because God is calling out a people, we will seek to help people grow toward spiritual maturity. Because Jesus was the model of servanthood, we will help people discover their spiritual gifts and use them in ministry. Because God’s people are sent, we will equip people to make disciples.

As a result, our community will be different in ten to fifteen years, with the Christian influence being increasingly felt in homes, businesses, education, and politics. We further intend to multiply our worldwide ministry by planting churches, by preparing our people for leadership roles in vocational ministries, by sending out missionaries, and by becoming a resource center and model for Missouri and the nation.
