Thank you for your many expressions of appreciation including the generous monetary gift you gave us Sunday (11/18).  Perhaps one of the greatest signs of appreciation is the prayer investment that you make in my life.  I recognize that every conversation you have with God on my behalf has limitless possibilities attached to it, because, He “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Eph 3:20).  Thank you for praying for me on a regular basis.

 

I firmly believe that the success of a congregation and pastoral leadership is directly related to our praying for one another.  I often think of the words of the Lord through Zechariah, “’Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” (4:6) as descriptive of the unique relationship we have enjoyed.  Your praying welcomes the work of the Spirit upon whom I am dependent.

 

I thank God everyday for the privilege of serving as Pastor of First Baptist Clinton; you are a great joy to serve!  I am grateful for the unique collection of special people God has brought together as this church.  Your flexibility, compassion, generosity, and creativity define this church as truly one of a kind.  I am glad God is giving me the opportunity to serve the great church he is building in Clinton, Missouri.  Daily I am grateful for the privilege of serving you, a truly special congregation.  I am really glad I’m your pastor!
